This resource is perfect preparation for the Phonics Screening Test! There are 4 flipcharts each consisting of 40 words. The children have to read the words and decide whether they are real or alien/rubbish. If the words are real they go in the treasure chest and if they are alien/rubbish they go in the bin! There are individual flipcharts for phase 2, 3 and 5 graphemes and a flipchart to review all the graphemes up to phase 5 - including phase 4 blends. You can either use the flipcharts with the whole class, in small groups or with individual children.
